ABOUT
Sam Torok
Hello, I'm Sam Torok, a graphic designer and photographer with a deep-rooted passion for creativity and design. Growing up in Columbus, I was surrounded by design influences from an early age, as both of my parents pursued careers in the field. Their insightful critiques of the design around us ignited my own curiosity and fueled my determination to follow in their footsteps.
My journey began at the Delaware Area Career Center, where I immersed myself in their digital design program. Here, I gained proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, earning certifications that solidified my foundation in design. It was during this time that I also discovered my love for photography, particularly through the lens of street photography. Capturing the essence of everyday life in a unique way opened my eyes to the beauty of the world's details.
Now, as a student at the Cleveland Institute of Art, I continue to expand my horizons in graphic design. Here, I've been exposed to new avenues of design, such as UI and packaging, which have broadened my perspective and challenged me to think creatively in new ways.
I believe that design is not just about creating visually appealing work, but also about storytelling and creating meaningful connections. My goal is to continue growing as a designer and photographer, pushing boundaries and creating work that resonates with others.
When I'm not designing or behind the camera, you can find me riding a motorcycle and exploring the city. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to connecting with others who share my passion for creativity and design.
